Higher-Res Treo 750 Pics
More and more Treo 750 pics are coming out; a poster at MyPDACafe.com has put up some very large (occasionally blurry) pictures of a Vodafone engineering sample.
Good news: looks like it has 64MB of RAM like the 700wx. Bad news: these pics clearly show that the unit has miniSD. Looks like the 700w/wx are amongst the last recent Pocket PC phones to feature SD slots... :|

Expansion cards are so cheap now...I don't even see why it matters. Its too bad they didn't go with microSD really

But have you seen prices for miniSD? You can easily get 1GB for $20 on newegg!!!

I want it NOW!!! It's either this or the HTC Excalibur. Really the only reason I'll get the Treo is because you can get cases/accessories for it easier. They both have WiFi don't they?

There is the upcoming Pocket Loox T830 (due in September) that not only has an SD slot but also takes SDHC cards (and has WiFi G and BT 2.0). Though the keyboard of the Treo looks vastly better mind...

From the same thread where the pictures came from, there's an unconfirmed report that the 750 will have 3G. It's also been sent for certification locally here (in Malaysia), which makes it a bit tight for a Christmas release, but just perfect for Chinese New Year.

This device looks nice, finally the antenna is gone... I take it that this is for GSM markets with it's G on the top bar [the question is will it have 3G or 3.5G, or just EDGE/GPRS] the lack of WiFi is probably certain as Treos never really had WiFi onboard and of course telcos want you to spend on data. I plan on getting an unlimitted data plan [offered to corporate accounts only] from my telco in Manila so I am not as worried anymore with WiFi... miniSD is ok I have a 1Gb card lying around the house. It is sad though that the HTC Breeze beside it [in the PDAcafe thread] has a higher screen res than the Treo750.

This MIGHT be my first Treo... the black on silver will suite my Exec very nicely when they are side by side :drool:
