Default Bad Buys

Have any of you ever bought a product only to discover it wasn't the real thing? If so, share your stories. The image above shows a not-really-a-wireless-adapter wireless adapter. Too cruel! 8O

Yeah. One day I purchased a device that was supposed to let me do a number of things at once, would hold a lot of data, look cool, maybe would do music or video, allow me to stay connected no matter where I was. Turns out it was hopelessly inadequate to the task.

Hahaha... Ed; the king of Palm- and Bluetooth bashing.... :rotfl:

But even some WM-devices might qualify for this topic

You should contact the developer. I know others have it and it works fine. However, where did I recommend it? This post was simply a pointer to something that might interest people. The vast majority of posts on this site are not reviews at all. In many cases, we've never installed the product being linked to, but we know those in our readership may be interested in the software. There are thousands and thousands of titles out there. No way can we install and test everything.

The only time we recommend is when we either do a review and we give a full blown analysis of the application, or when we personally use the application in question and have first hand expeirence. We have no desire to, nor do we claim to.

Please don't confuse a "Hey, here is a piece of software that may interest some of you" announcement post with a recommendation.

And I had nothing to do with that skin, but I know a loooooooooot of skinning noobs get kind of cranky when there's no installation file. My advice would be to download some other WMP skins and see if you can't get those working either. In there would lie your answer as to whether it's the developer.

Nine times out of ten, problems with skins are due to errors in installation by the user. Post the details of your problem in this thread and I may be able to help you get it working.

To bring us back on topic - - note the lowly post hole digger. Example at http://tinyurl.com/zsd44

These do not dig holes, even when I try to help. They are an excellent means of exhausting oneself.
