Parallels' New Beta Offers WM5 USB ActiveSync Support on Macs
"At Day 2 of Apples Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco, Parallels announced that it has released a beta update of Parallels Desktop for Mac, the first solution that enables users to run Windows and other OSes at the same time as OS X on any Intel-powered Mac without rebooting. The update, which is free for all Parallels Desktop users, includes several important upgrades, including... USB support for Windows Mobile 5 and a much broader list of supported devices."
I've seen a fair number of Mac users on this forum ask about solutions for syncing WM5 devices. While tools like Mark/Space's Missing Sync work quite well, they still don't enable users to install .EXE apps (for example). Well, now the Intel Mac users have another option: Parallels now supports WM5 devices, so you can run ActiveSync in a VM in your Mac.

It'll be interesting to see if VMware plans to offer similar sync support later this year. I like a bit of competition. It breeds innovation.

I'd expect it. It's not "sync support" per se, but rather good USB support.
