NoviiRemote Deluxe 4.1 Released; Support for OMAP Processors Included
"NoviiMedia is pleased to unveil a new version 4.1 of NoviiRemote Deluxe, which now covers almost all of the most popular Windows Mobile OS handheld devices (see compatibility information). NoviiRemote Deluxe for Pocket PC With NoviiRemote Deluxe, control all of your home entertainment equipment - TV, Cable/Sat, DVD/CD, VCR, etc. A superior interface, vibrant colors, easy installation and setup, better infrared drivers, and many other improvements have made this the favorite remote program on the market!"
I recently started playing around with Novii Remote and was suprised to see that my JasJar was able to control a good deal of devices from a respectable distance. The newest version out supports the TI OMAP processors, which is good news for Wizard users. While I haven't gotten it to work 100% yet on my Wizard, others are reporting good success. If you've been dying to change the channel at your favorite sports bar (or just annoy others while looking like you're doing "work"), head over and check out the latest version!

My new HD receiver from Dish Network is using a UHF remote as does my Bose system. Wondering how remote functions will change in the coming years. Will we see less Infrared remotes or the death of them altogether? Love the idea however it seems less attractive now that the only thing it will work on is my TVs volume-power controls.
