Palm Treo Lennon Coming to Cingular?
Engadget Mobile has the scoop on an upcoming Palm Treo (PalmOne? :?), codenamed Lennon. The external antenna-less device packs EDGE (Class 10)/UMTS support, a QWERTY thumb-board, Wi-Fi, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and Windows Mobile 5.0 (with the MSFP), and if all is true, should be available through Cingular this coming October. If you're a Treo 700w user, would you go for this instead (minus the prospect of switching carriers)?

Heck, yes! I'd switch in a heartbeat. In fact, I already have, sort of. I have a Cingular account because Verizon can't pick up at my house. I keep a minimum Verizon account because of the Treo. I've just been waiting for Cingular to do something I can use as a pocket pc as well.

Oh man...I am painfully craving a 700w, but I don't want to switch to Verizon. If this seriously comes to Cingular...I would totally get one. I don't have the money, but when has that stopped me when I want a new gadget?

If Palm puts more RAM in that phone than they did in the Treo 700w there will be issues. I won't switch to Cingular, CS, call quality in my area are substandard compared to Verizon.
