Default O2 Xda Atom Exec Revealed

http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/handhe...9260420p,00.htm

"When Microsoft introduced the Xda Atom Exec at today's press preview for its CommunicAsia launch, the announcement came as somewhat of a surprise to many journalists. After all, O2 has been keeping quite a low profile over the past year, releasing only the Atom last year followed by the introduction of a white edition in April."

The Xda Atom (or Mighty Atom, as it is known around the place) is already a winner in the Asia-Pacific, thanks to its compact form factor and media-friendly specs. But it doesn't stop there. O2 is now preparing the release of the Xda Atom Exec in the Asia-Pacific, with a 520MHz CPU and 192MB ROM (as opposed to a 416MHz CPU and 128MB ROM), and a matte exterior (for those of you who loathed the fingerprint marks on the glossy predecessor). All other Atom specs such as the tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.2, 2.0-megapixel camera, FM radio, and Windows Mobile 5.0 (with the MSFP) are expected to remain the same.

This upgrade follows E-TEN's recent announcement of the M600+, which features a Samsung 400MHz CPU, 256MB ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2.0-megapixel camera, and Windows Mobile 5.0 (with the MSFP).

OH man. This really sucks. I just bought a week ago the new RW6828. Only if I waited one more week. Oh well. I guess I have to wait for another year or two until even newer technologies will be available

AFter reading the reviews, the Atom XDA is horrible in performance, is this true? the 6828 out performs the atom. What makes this unit that much better with more memory?
