Asus A639 GPS Pocket PC with 1GB ROM
You already know about the Asus P525. Now feast your eyes on the Asus MyPal A639, a Pocket PC packing a lot of punch. It includes an Intel XScale 416MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 1GB ROM, GPS (SiRFstar III), 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. Unfortunately for you VGA junkies, it only has a QVGA TFT-LCD.

64 RAM?
Just don't get it why they have not released version with more RAM. Some models have high end features but came with 64 MB RAM only.

with vga it would have been unbeatible.
Also would have liked to see more RAM, say 512mb ?

Thinking of it as a GPS first, PDA second, the 1GB ROM makes a lot of sense for storing map data. I would think 128MB RAM would be minimum, but it shouldn't have to be much more then that.
The kicker for me is VGA (or lack thereof). If it was VGA, I would almost consider getting one to just mount in my car. I could just beam stuff to it from my main converged PDA (VZ6700).

I have to say that I understand the desire for more RAM - my current PDA has 128MB and that just about fills my needs. If you run any type of database program or graphics/photo editor, then you NEED RAM! I just thought that 512MB wouldn't be a good tradeoff between memory requirements and energy consumption.
