Default Cheers and Cheerio Chaps and Chapesses

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:15"

It's with sadness that I approach the end of my season with Pocket PC Thoughts. I've very much enjoyed the past 800 days working behind the scenes, contributing to the best Windows Mobile site on the web and being part of the great community here. Truly, you guys make it the site it is! However, all seasons eventually change and it's time for me to step down as a Contributing Editor.

Let me mangle a metaphor for you. It's a clich, (but still true) that swans look majestic and seem to smoothly sail past with little effort. Under the water however, their feet are paddling frantically to keep going. I'm afraid that I just don't have the energy and time to keep paddling. I do know however that Pocket PC Thoughts is run by a very dedicated and hard working bunch of editors and I would like to encourage you guys, to encourage them. They do a wonderful job and deserve your support. I'd like to thank Jason and the team for all their help and hard work over the past years and I look forward to seeing Pocket PC Thoughts continue to develop and grow along with the platform that kicked this all off. So now, I'm off to watch the show from the shore, with a metaphorical bag of bread and a camera in my hands.

Jonathon,

I just wanted you to know none of us thought you a Chapess - I mean you forgot your wallet and we had to pay - I understand, it happens to all of us - but that was 3 mos ago, just paypal the 20 pounds - the rumors will stop , no problem.

Thanks for all the great insight - us yanks on the PST zone, US west coast, appreciated the early morning BST news from across the pond. As we left the local pubs to check PPCT as we crashed, you were just getting up wondering why you stayed so late at your pub, but still found a resemblance of thought to contribute an article.

Pleae tell us you can take the title of Contributing Editor Emeritus and give us some insight now and then - otherwise we're living off Darius in Oz for our late night influx of PPCThoughts!

Thanks again and cheers!

Hey Jonathon, sorry to hear that you are moving on. It's been a great 800 days and you've done a amazing job, along with the rest of the team.

Best of luck in whatever the future brings your way. 8)

It's sad to see you go Jonathon! Hope that life slows down a bit, and that you're able to drop in and see us from time to time! Thanks for all you've done for PPCT.

Thanks for all you've done while on board. You'll be missed. And just a little motherly advice - " you can always come home if things don't work out."

But not a camera phone though, eh? Sorry to see an ally go. Good luck.

Sad to see you go, Jonathon. I've thoroughly enjoyed the posts that you have made over the past few years.

Hope to still see you around the place every now and again.
