Default World Cup Mobile 2006 Released

http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/wmmobil/default.asp

"Experience this year's World Cup on your Pocket PC. Keep in touch with every match, watch online scores and results from an authorized provider, get always fresh news and commentaries right from the stadium. Easy-to-use navigation ensures fast data access, modern design and style raise user's satisfaction."

If you live and breathe soccer (football?) like I do, then you may want to check out Resco's new application, World Cup Mobile 2006. No prizes for guessing what this application is all about. If you're interested in downloading and/or purchasing it, head over to Resco.net and Pocketland.net.

By the way, any of you willing to guess the winner of the cup?

I think I would like this. However, the price on Resco's page says $14.95, which is pretty much my limit for what is going to amount as a one time thing. However, Pocketland (the exclusive distributor according to the Resco site) lists it at 14.95 euros plus tax (2.06), which takes it over $21 US (if I'm looking at the correct conversion charts). That's a bit steep for me. If it really was $14.95, then I might bite. Not going to look further at over $21 for a month.

(I'm pulling for Sweden, but only if they bring cheerleaders. )

Default windows mobile blues

Hi,

I just bought world cup mobile that I saw on the resco software page and so far I have the problem that all I see is Angola, in every group, no other team shows.... I tried to send an email to get support either at pocketland.de (where I bought it) or pdassi (where I got purchase confirmation from) and no luck with finding any way to do so.....

I hope someone at resco which is where I first saw this product might be able to help to get in touch with them to solve this situation or perhaps someone here in pocketpcthoughts might have bought it as well and may be able to help...

thanks

PS: And you are right, Initially I figured I'd buy it for only 14.95US but now that you mentioned it I ended up buying it for over 20US from pocketland.de with the conversion from euros!!!! they should advertise the correct amount!!!

Tax is included in the price at pocketland.net (with the current exchange rate (1.26=1 Euro) the price is $18.83). Also, look out for discounts in the coming weeks.

Nope, not Swedish. Just appreciate the "beauty" of the land.

And tax was added at Pocketland when I went (almost completely) through the checkout procedure (2.06 euros, IIRC). So, no, tax was not included in the 14.95 euros. Still don't think it's right to advertise at $14.95 and then charge 14.95 euros, though. That was my biggest beef with the whole thing. (Although I see it is changed now.) I'll see if "deals" show up soon.
