Default DinarSoft Releases MemMaid 1.6

http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/...5&productType=2

Popular file and registry cleaner, MemMaid, has just been updated to v1.6. Among the many enhancements, you'll find square-screen support, improved overall performance, and several changes to MemMaid's handling of Microsoft Voice Command, notification queues, and custom directories. You can download an updated version or free trial version from our affiliate software store. The full version is available for $14.99.

This is a truly excellent program. It is fast, easy to use and has a great UI. Highly recommended.

Default Buggy

I have used this app for several years now with great results.

Unfortunately the last 2 revisions have come with bugs, both 1.5 and 1.6 closed down after you perfrom a scan in both Quick and Advanced Mode.

I have installed it to main memory, ext_Rom, and mini-sd card and no luck.

I hope they fix it soon

Is there an upgrade policy?

To my understanding, if you're a registered user of a previous version of MemMaid (i.e. v1.x), you can upgrade to v1.6 for free. Just download the trial version, install it, and use the same registration code if prompted for it.

Doesn't happen for me. I've used 1.5 on WM2003se and WM5, and this latest version on WM5, and it never closes down after any scan on my devices.

This version does appear to take a little longer when doing the scan than the previous version, though. I don't know if that means it's looking for more things or what, but it appears to hang for a little while on the dead shortcuts and dead registry areas. (Not to say it's a horrible wait by any stretch, but it just appears to be a bit slower.)

Thanks Darius for answering this.

We added more logic in many cleaner items to make them more accurate and efficient.

Did you use the "Process View" before, did you try it in this version.
The "process view" in the new version is much much faster than the older versions.

Dinar,

I am selecting all the scans or choices. It starts to do them all but then hangs on several and then automatically shuts down.

Thanks for the quick post.
