Foxit Pocket PC PDF Reader
"Foxit Reader PPC is small (the download size is less than 1MB), so you can download it quickly. You don't need any installation, just unzip it on your desktop PC and copy it over to your device. Foxit Reader PPC supports almost all PDF features supported by desktop version of Foxit Reader, except JPEG2000 or JBIG2 encoded images, and ICC color profiles. However these modules can be added on later for OEM licensees. Foxit Reader PPC has a small footprint (about 1.4MB), and consumes little memory compared to any other PDF readers on PPC platform. 14 standard Latin fonts are also included in the package."
I was checking today to see if there was an update to the awesome Foxit PDF Reader desktop software, and guess what I found? They have a Pocket PC version! I haven't tried it yet, but if it's anything like their desktop PDF reader that loads in under one second, I bet it blows the Adobe Pocket PDF Reader out of the water.

I loaded this onto my 6700 and it is a pretty small file, compared to the 7 MB for the adobe ppc version. Seems to run okay I opened a 1.25 MB pdf and once it opened it only consumed 825 kb of program memory. I haven't compared ram usage to the adobe version...yet.

I tried it but it seems to have a rather limited set of options when it comes to reading the document compared to Acrobat PPC reader or Repligo. No sclae to fit screen, no define via tap and drag an area to zoom in on, no reflow, no highlighting or document markup, etc.

It's faster than XPDF Viewer and ClearVue, at least when rendering relatively large (80+MB) PDF files, as well as the smaller ones, and is as fast as Adobe, while taking up relatively little RAM. It's not bad, although the features are VERY limited (no search, no support for in-document tags, no hardware key support to allow scrolling without the mouse, no 'skip to page' functionality). It's a decent start, however... and faster than some products I could name.
One more thing to note - unlike Adobe Reader, you can actually see more than a block of grey when the text is too small to be easily read on a document, so you can usually read the print... even if it's pretty small. With Adobe, I've found that fonts below a certain size will show up as grey lines until I've zoomed in closely.

Okay I had a chance to check the program memory usage of the same file while using adobe reader 2.0 for PPC...the adobe version used about 1350 kb of ram...so the foxit eval version uses less memory, however I do agree with the other post saying that it does not have as many features as adobe, but if you have a device that has some memory limitations (hmm..cough...Treo 700w) then this may be a better alternative to simply viewing PDF's.

I tried it once, but I wasn't impressed. It is small and fast, but the lack of reflow means that I would still have to zoom in and scroll back and forth to read each line of text. I think there will be a charge once it's finished.
