SelectRadio Targets the Pocket PC Phone Edition
"Users of leading smartphones, including the UTStarcom PPC6700, Palm Treo 700w, HP iPAQ hw6500 and Samsung i730, now can get live radio content from more than 5,000 Internet radio channels using a new version of SelectRadio software. The available stream variety brings news, comedy, talk and millions of songs to users, surpassing the storage and other limitations of typical standalone music players... SelectRadio software uses the smartphones' network connection options to provide radio access on the go, in the office, or at home. For easy access to popular broadcasters, SelectRadio software includes pre-set channels from top broadcasters, such as Internet radio pioneer radioio (symbol:iwdm.pk), which this week announced it is approaching one million regular listeners; XM Radio Online (Nasdaq:XMSR); and Shoutcast."
If you previously had trouble getting SelectRadio to work with your Pocket PC Phone Edition, you may want to try again. The company announced an update (a few days ago) offering full support for GPRS, EDGE, EV-DO, Wi-Fi, and ActiveSync USB.

Unfortunately, it only supports devices based on Intel XScale PXA 27X processors--which makes it far too selective for those of us with devices based on other processors.

Why not use the free Radio4PDA?
OK, it does have some nice features like timeshifting.

I know its capitalism but it erks me that companies try to make big bucks by agregating free media links from the web.
Here are a couple of good free PPCPE enabled media sites.
pocketpcmedia.com
ppctv.com
shoutcast.com
and tons more.

Would any of these work with a non-phone PPC tethered to a standard GPRS phone via Bluetooth?

Why not try Resco Radio? I have been using it for quite some time and I have to say, I am extremely pleased with this application!
