TFW's Q Replacement
Holy imitation, Batman! Remember TechFaithWireless (TFW)? They're at CTIA showing off a new Windows Mobile 5.0-powered Pocket PC Phone Edition that treads just about every inch of Moto Q territory - except this one has an OK button, and a touch screen (or at least, one would hope so). No details on specs, a release date, or even a name, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we find out more.

TOUCHSCREEN
IF IT HAS A TOUCH SCREEN, AND IS CDMA, I COULD SWITCH, BUTTHE Q WITH NO TOUCHSCREEN IS A WASTE OF A MACHINE IMHO!

Not sure I understand why one would hope it has a touchscreen. I thought the whole point to the Smartphone OS is that it doesn't use the touchscreen interface that the standard Windows Mobile does.
Honestly I've been anxious to see the Q simply because I want something that can do more than my current phone (better contacts, calendar, notepad), but I'm starting to associate the word "lugging" with my X30. I want something smaller!

This is a Pocket PC Phone Edition. One of the major factors that separates a Pocket PC from a Smartphone is the presence of a touch screen.
I was making reference to the fact that TFW seemed to copy the Q design so much that one could easily hope they didn't forget to include a touch screen in the process.

AFAIK the Q is a smartphone. It does not have a touch screen. It is HPs offerings of this style that are Phone Editions.
Edit:
OK, took me about 5 times rereading your post. You were worried they might have copied the Q so much they built a Phone Edition and forgot a touch screen. :?

That's a nice looking piece of hardware.

This is lame. They can't expect to rival HTC with this kind of business practices.

Yeah, that's the point I was making. Re-reading my own post, I can see why you were confused. I guess I should stop posting after midnight when my English may be a little warped. ops:
