HP has just put up an official specifications sheet for the HP iPAQ rw6800 series. This tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE Pocket PC Phone Edition will be available in Australia, New Zealand, and certain parts of Asia as the rw6818 (no Wi-Fi) and rw6828 (with Wi-Fi).

Looks alot like my Atom, even down to the battery amps, although the camera looks a little different (and its got these funny lowercase initials on front and back).

Right. Quanta, the company behind the Atom, was the same company to produce the rw6800 for HP. Specs wise, it's roughly the same. Aesthetically, there are a few differences - perhaps the biggest of these is the flip cover.

Hahaha... yep... indeed looks like it except for those two letters... h... p...

And one more thing about the difference is probably the software used for the camera... HP uses the Photosmart software... now I'm not sure if it will be also from Brogent. The button mappings are better since the Atom does not have softkey buttons...

The Atom has a Call and End call button with two hardware buttons which can be configured (default is Start and O2 Media Plus)...

The HP's has been remapped for soft keys left and right, while the call button doubles as the Start key and the End Call button doubles as the device lock key.

The LED placements are also different... but most of these are cosmetic really...

I love the selection of apps bundled with the HP though... I think they're more useful than the one from O2.
