Default APRIL FOOLS: SanDisk Releases UltraCPU SD Card for Windows Mobile Devices

http://www.sandisk.com/Corporate/PressRoom/

"MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, April 1, 2006 - SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) today announced their first product designed to upgrade Windows Mobile Devices with desktop CPU counterparts, the UltraCPU SD Card. 'By giving Windows Mobile devices the firepower previously given to desktop and laptop PCs, they will be able to finally run .NET Compact Framework applications much more smoothly,' says Wes Brewer, vice president of consumer product marketing at SanDisk. 'Most users can't stand that multicolored wait symbol. It basically puts an end to that. Did I mention that homebrew emulators such as PSXemu and PocketSNES never looked so good at 120fps easy?'"

MiniSD and MicroSD versions will be released 2nd quarter 2006, with an initial $100 rebate offered for Windows Mobile devices with a TI OMAP processor (some restrictions apply). SanDisk acknowledges that your device's battery life is consumed approximately 850% faster than normal, so it helps to have a USB charging cable handy.

I guess that means I'm going to have to purchase the SanDisk Nuclear Power Adapter for my x51v....

I'd love to see a battery meter on that though! Can you imagine? It'd be like watching a toilet flush!

Hmmmmm, is it compatible with my digital camera? Maybe I'll be able to run PhotoShop on my digtal camera and I won't need my pc for photo editing!!!

I have to say this was the best today! Being at the top of the home page as well helped to hold off the association with the date by a few seconds!

The How Stuff Works page has a great one too. Check it out!
