Default Final Release Dates For T-Mobile MDA and SDA?

http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/12/t-mobile-mda-and-sda-get-official-launch-date/

Engadget is reporting that the T-Mobile SDA Smartphone will be available online today and the T-Mobile MDA Pocket PC Phone will be available next Tuesday, February 21.

When they are online for sale, I'll believe it.

Default Just in time....

Just in time.... my 6315 is starting to die......good thing I got the insurance.....

The screen looks a lot smaller than the 6515 though..... I'm not sure if I'll ever use the keyboard.... I'm a die-hard pen man...

The SDA is on the site now:

Curiously, it's listed under handhelds rather than phones.

I did a little more digging by logging in to My T-Mobile with my account. When I select to upgrade my phone, and select Handhelds, they list the MDA rather than the SDA. (SDA is not listed) There is no product picture and when you click View Details you get an error, so it appears to be a work in progress. I wouldn't be surprised if the MDA is a typo.

The screen is a lot smaller 2.8onches compared to the standard 3.5. Talk about tough reading.

The SDA is worse. The text is so small. It's manageable to read but I doubt few people will actually use the SDA for full blown e-mail typing.

as I mentioned in a recent post I can't wait for this device to come out.
I played with the SDA. and a mockup of the MDA and even though it was only a mockup I chose it over the SDA. BTW what is that hump at the top of the SDA? It looks funny, I'm guessing WIFI antenna
I must have called about 3 times to get pricing and release info, it seems to be a better deal via the upgrade program versus a new signup in the store.

I agree, MY T-MOBILE UPGRADE screen offered me 199 on a 2yr contract for the MDA.

this is one cool gadget, allready selling in The Netherlands for some months now, two of my colleagues have one of these. Still using an employer-handed mobile phone, I will be getting a MDA as soon as I have to get a phone of myself in a next job and ditch the Dell X30 I am currently using.

Yes, I really like the T-mobile device!
