Default Bev Howard's Pocket PC Radar Site Designed for Your Meteorological Needs

http://bevhoward.com/storm/ppcrad.htm

"During the recent hurricane outbreaks in the United States, Bev posted several times in the newsgroups about radar and weather information that was readily available for Windows Mobile users. Now that the Gulf Coast is slowly getting back on its collective feet, Bev has created a terrific little site off his main BevHoward.com site specifically for radar information on the go! ...you can get to any number of radar sites in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam. When a radar site is selected, you are automatically taken to the NOAA animated radar for that location."

I'm quoting Clinton Fitch's words there as he does a real nice summarization of Bev Howard's Pocket PC Radar Site. Bev's site serves as a wonderful portal into the NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) animated radar pages and while anyone can access the NOAA site directly, Bev customized his portal with the Pocket PC user in mind. So if you're interested in seeing radar updates of your area throughout the day, be sure to bookmark his site. Oh, did I mention that Bev provides this service free-of-charge! :way to go:

Very, very nice! Appreciate Bev's work. Only wish I had a PPC 2003 device to enjoy the animation.

You can use my program Radar Watch to see animated radar on your pocket pc. Uses the same NWS radar sources, but can cache images for offline use and has variable speed animation.

Download it from http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc...adar_watch.htm

Isn't that always the way it goes. Well, I've enjoyed your articles for quite some time. Keep up the good work.

I've got a review of Jon's app coming soon on my site. This is a great little app too and one everyone should check out.
