Default Geekzone Review Socket Mobile Power Pack: One Power-source to Charge Them All....

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.a...?ContentId=5732

"Tired of carrying multiple chargers, one for each different device (the Pocket PC, the Smartphone, the iPod, the Portable Media Center, the Bluetooth stereo headphones, the Bluetooth stereo adapter, the rechargeable Bluetooth GPS, and more)? I was too. Until I found . . . Socket's Mobile Power Pack. . . . The idea is simple: a super 5 volt rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, with 7,200 mAh capacity (output is 5 volts @ 1.8 Amps) and a USB Type A plug. On top of this a collection of cables in a variety of formats, and an AC adapter with with 4 international wall plugs for USA/Europe/UK/Aust."

 Apple iPod Charging Cable
6 volt Booster (for use with Nokia Phones & other 6v devices)
 Palm Charging Cable
 Retractable USB Cable
2.5 mm adapter to USB (LG, Kyocera)
3.5 mm adapter to USB (Nokia, digital cameras, Garmin)
4.0 mm Cable to USB (for Pocket PCs)

Certainly sound like a great idea if you travel with several devices, apparently as long as you don't mind the device "looking suspicious". I'm just glad that all newer Pocket PCs seem to be heading toward using USB as a universal syncing and charging port. Standardisation is great! Or is that too much to ask for? :worried:

What and ruin the fact that at every step a electronics user needs to buy some kind of new converter/adapter.... this is just crazy talk!

Yes, I'm mad like that. Want to hear what I think about memory card slots? (SD slots rock!)

True. I want the CF slot back on more devices as well...

Default Socket Power Supply

I purchased one of these. Well worth it. My XDAIIi sucks power like anything and this device can be used as a power supply as well as a top up. It has a belt clip so can be used easily on the go.

These are wonderful charges but cost about $120 US. There are other options that are far less expensive. I'm currently using a Pelican Power Brick that was $20 at Radio Shack. You can get a double A battery charger as well. The Socket is the King of the Hill but you pay for it. Great Review.
