Default Interactive MDA Vario Review

http://www.msmobilenews.com/page/1130/

"The HTC Magician revolutionised the way people looked at PocketPC platform; with its small and relatively simple form factor, it became the new weapon of choice for most Smartphone users, including myself. However, the Magician had a problem; while people loved it for being small and light, most felt that HTC had done a poor job at enabling the device to be used with one hand. "

A neat little review with quicktime images that allow you to rotate the device and see it from any angle you choose. If you haven't read reviews on the K-JAM or just want to play around with the pics, this is a must read!

I think the author over at MSMobileNews got it exactly right with this conclusion:
"When it comes to PocketPC Phones there is no killer device. You have to pick the best of what is essentially a bad bunch. None of them are perfect but some are close to it. The Vario isnt perfect but you could do a lot worse than getting yourself one."

It's too bad every device so far has compromised in one area or another. I was really hoping the Treo would address this, but still more compromises. I guess I just want more than these companies are willing to deliver today.

Mine arrived Friday (Tmo USA). So far I love it. It's A LOT more stable than the $%*&@ iPAQ that T-Mobile had awhile back.

The form factor is great, and the keyboard is easy to use. My only issue is that I wish the physical screen size was larger (3" at least). And I wish it came in black. But for most part it's a great device.

There is no perfect device indeed. However, I've had one of these Wizard devices in my hand today and I guess I've finally found the device I'd replace my Blue Angel for. Small, light, good keyboard (even better than my BA's), and its speed was very good, at least the general speed of WM5 (I have not tested it with morphgear, though).

In general I've been very happy with my K-Jam, using my jasjar for more intense work (i.e. anything over 20 min. of use). The K-Jam with a regular SD slot, VGA screen, and VGA-output would be the perfect device. I suppose we'll be waiting a bit longer.

I was playing with a Qtek 9000 a few days ago...and while the screen is just beatiful, and it is sort of the "ultimate device", it is just big. Too big.

I've wanted a wizard since they first came out. But i'm not sure it is really an upgrade to my blueangel (siemens sx66).
The only things that bother me are the mini sd slot and possibly the processor. Honestly the processor isn't much of a bother. I am sure it is actually faster than the 4 generation old xscale in my sx66.

But not that i've waited so long to get one the question arrises, why not just wait alittle longer for the next cool toy?

Arrgh.. sometimes i hate technology.

I too yearn for such a device, but, such devices usually turn out to be very bulky. Jasjar comes really close, but, its far too big to carry around.

I dont know what my friends will think when I'll be talking to someone holding a big brick on my ears 0X

I've got a 6315 also, is the case shipped with this device any better than the bulky one shipped wlth the iPAQ?

I hope this is a good device.... my 6315 is dying....... according to hp the motherboard is defective and batteries only last about 1 hour.... when you take the battery out it hard resets....... Had it for over two years...

This new device sure looks bulky... I was hoping to get a 400 Mhz .... and it sounds like this one is 200 Mhz....

Since my contract is up perhaps it is time to move to someone else.... any other good phones or think I should wait and try this one one....
