Default Woize Beta Pocket PC VoIP Client Updated & Available

http://www.woize.com/pocketwoize.php

"The Pocket PC version of Woize has been released for beta-testing. If you have a WiFi-compatible PC running Windows Mobile 2003 in your pocket and you would like to test the brand new application, download PocketWoize now and let us know what you think about it! A new forum has been opened to gather your opinions, suggestions and eventual bug reports."

Looks like Skype ain't the only game in town! If you're interested in trying out a new VoIP solution for your Pocket PC, give PocketWoize a spin. The beta program has actually been running for over 6 months and the latest beta version was released about a week ago, so hopefully the software is close to being production ready. There's a special forum thread on their site dedicated to the testing and feedback of PocketWoize. In any case, if anyone has given this a try, be sure to drop us your thoughts. Too much VoIP is never a bad thing!

I commented in detail on the beta thread on Woize's site, but put simply, it seems impossible to register for using the VoIP program on their site. I tried in PIE and Netfront, but both failed to allow it. Why bother providing a CAB file download when using the software requires a registration of membership, and the site is so scripted as to block use with a Pocket PC? If the beta (uninstalled now) is as bad as the site, it's got a long way to go.
