Default HTC Releases Q4 Accounts: 99.9% Growth and Still Going Strong

http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/0..._results_q4_05/

"Taiwan's HTC saw sales leapt 66.2 per cent sequentially during the fourth quarter of FY2005, according to the PDA-phone maker's provisional, unaudited financial results. . . . For the full fiscal year, HTC reported unaudited revenues of TWD72.78bn ($2.28bn), up 99.9 per cent on FY2004's total. . . During the year, HTC launched a series of critically acclaimed Windows Mobile-based PDA phones and smart phones, including the . . . i-mate Jasjar, the O2 XDA Pro, the T-Mobile MDA IV and the Orange SPV M5000 among others. HTC's numbers show it has built a solid business making devices mobile phone networks can offer under their own brands. . . . The coming year . . . .it is also known to be preparing a GPS-equipped PDA, along with a number of 3G smart and music phones"

Yup, 99.9% revenue growth is a very impressive number, but HTC certainly have earned it. This has been a good year for innovative Pocket PCs. I'm certainly looking forward to their new devices this year. HP who?

Default Glad to see it.....

I swore off hp products when they failed to offer an upgrade for the 4150 (upgrade to 2003se). I've kept my promise and I'm enjoying my JasJar! hp, can you hear me now? Good.

All is good until they released the terrible upgrade for x50v. Still wondering whose fault is it.

I dont think HTC gets involved in ROM upgrades. It is the people at Dell who are responsible for the ROM upgrades

HTC (ODM) is responsible for designing/manufacturing x50v, while Dell (OEM) is only responsible for selling x50v. The upgrade, I believe, is produced by HTC, and Dell is just selling it. However, Dell, as the seller, is responsible for selling customers products THAT WORKs. HTC messed up the upgrade, but Dell didn't ensure the quality of the product or provide proper support. Still wondering who to blame.
