Default Resco Pocket Radio 1.50 Released with AAC Support

http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/default.asp

Resco Pocket Radio 1.50 has arrived. Among the changes, there's a new skin, support for AAC (including aacPlus), the addition of AAC stations, and support for server redirection. If you're new to Pocket Radio, you can visit Handango and download a free trial version, or purchase the full version for $19.95. If you're an existing user, it should be a free update, so simply uninstall your old version and install this new one. [Affiliate]

Anybody else having registration problems with this upgrade?

The app is not accepting my old reg number. I purchased it about a month ago. I went through Resco's auto-responder service and it sent back the same reg number saying it was still valid. :?:

I emailed support two days ago but haven't heard anything back yet.

I've heard a new registration code is needed, which is funny, because my old one works fine. 8O

Perhaps wait a couple of days and ping the auto-responder service again to see if it you get a new code.

I've got a question, it looks very interesting but I'm still new to this internet streaming radio technology. I know there are three large streaming technologies - ShoutCast, Live365, and Windows Media. Does Resco Pocket Radio support these or does it have its own proprietary format it reads off of?

It seems like most streaming audo on the net is either Real (yes its still alive) and Windows Media. For a paid product I would think that WM would be a not brainer.

Hmm... if it doesn't do WM, than how is it recording internet radio. :?:

Yea, did that. Thanks. The auto-responder came back today with a new registration number that was accepted by the program.

Now, one other question. Is anyone having any luck connecting to Japan-a-Radio? I've got "unable to connect" error messages every time I tried over the last month. Too many listeners?

I can't connect today. I have been able to connect on several occasions over the past month, so if I were you, I'd simply try again in a few hours time.

Default New reg code not working...

I bought this new -- I've never owned a previous version though I've had an older demo version installed then removed.

Anyway, it refuses to recognize the reg code I was provided.

Anyone else seeing this?
