Default WiFiFoFum Updated to v2.0

http://www.aspecto-software.com/xoo...php?cid=1&lid=5

"From today you can download the latest version of WiFiFoFum - the best WiFi scanner and war driving software for Pocket PC 2003 and Windows Mobile 5. This version makes use of the latest features of .NET CF to give you the highest performance for war driving. With this version you can be confident your GPS logged coordinates for the networks you find are highly accurate, and can rely on a smooth user interface experience. WiFiFoFum version 2 brings full support for WM5, VGA displays, portrait and landscape orientations. An "aggressive" scanning mode has been included so you can collect more APs than ever before."

WiFiFoFum 2.0 is out with full support for Windows Mobile 5.0. You'll need the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 in order to use it, but fortunately, that (and WiFiFoFum) is a free download.

I tried this on my SP5 WM5 Smarphone but it doesn't work unfortunately. I was hoping it would, because there aren't any WiFi sniffers available for Smartphone so far (Obviously because there was no need until now).

That .NET 2.0 is a real space hog

Works great on x50v with WM5. Not very anxious about memory usage with WM5.

hi, I decided to jump to v2.0 from 0.3.3 to make it clear about the dependency on CF 2.0. This version has been significantly tested for over a month by our forum visitors so its well worth the upgrade especially if you want to do GPS war driving.

I sent a smartphone test version to someone and it seems to be working fine. I ordered a qtek 8310 and once I've tested it myself I'll post it on our site.

Unlike 0.3.3, this one actually WORKED on my PDA, so I've got it installed. Granted, NetCF takes up 5 MB of storage, but the application itself is still on the small side (150K), and I've other programs which also use CF 2.0, so it's a sacrifice I can live with.
