Brando i-mate K-JAM Music Dock Review
http://www.4winmobile.com/viewtopic.php?t=1405
"The Mini S is a superb device, but lacks a charge and sync cradle. Brando is offering a charge and sync cradle to use with the HTC Wizard, the device shipped by O2 as the XDA Mini S, by T-Mobile as the Vario and by Imate as the K-Jam. This cradle is no ordinary cradle though, it boasts stereo speakers. Can it live up to the reputation of the Mini S itself?"
4WinMobile reviews a new dock for the HTC Wizard, which is sold under several names, most recently as the T-Mobile MDA here in the USofA. If you have one of these devices or are contemplating getting one, see if this speaker laden docking station is for you.

Looks very interesting. Too bad I don't have a Wizard to use with it, though. I think it's great that we are finally starting to see different accessories for Pocket PC's. I know we are talking about two different markets, but look at all of the accessories available for the iPod. I can't help but think that having a huge choice of accessories doesn't sway some people into purchasing that device over competitors.
Of course if we could get more WM manufacturers to standardize on the mini-USB connector that would probably go a long way to making it easier for accessory manufacturers to create a wider variety of accessories as they won't have to rewire/rebuild for each new device out there. Here's a place where I think it would be a good thing for MS to require standardization within their devices. (And there aren't a lot of places I think that to be the case. )

I have t agree here to a point. Though I am not an iPod fan and there are better products and better prices, one of the reason I chose the iPod over the otherproducts for my wife was because of all the accesseries. Wish this was availabe for PPC-6700

Just bought 2 of these dockers; one for home, one for work. They're pretty good. The speakers arn't hi-fi by any means, but they perform well enough.
I chose them mainly because I wanted a sync/charge docking station and the only other one I found had no cables/psu and cost about the same. These came with mains charger and mini-usb cable included. So the speakers are a bonus.

Strange plopping sound...
Hi,
I just got my Music Dock for my K-jam from Brando today. Looks great but one problem:
As soon as I dock my K-Jam I hear a popping noice every 2.5 seconds. Very annoying!
I tried soft resetting a couple times. Didn't help.
I closed some processes with SkTools too see if they were making those noices. Didn't help.
Somehow as soon as I dock the noice starts. It doesn't happen when my K-Jam is not docked. :?:
Any advice?

Found the problem
Ok I found the problem.
The poweroutlet supplied with the music dock doesn't work properly. Somehow it gives a disturbance. There is a green light on the poweroutlet and it flashes red every 2.5 second. Maybe it it not completely 220 volts compatible?

It's the phone and the network communicating. Mine does it, but not every 2 seconds. Maybe every 5 - 10 minutes.

Still strange that there is no disturbance when connected to the USB cable only. It only happens when using the USB poweroutlet.
