Default VITO QuickContact for Windows Mobile 5.0 Released

http://vitotechnology.com/en/produc...ontact_wm5.html

"VITO QuickContact is a phone book for your Pocket PC, that includes everything you need to call your contacts, input phone numbers, send SMS or e-mail, open home pages in the Internet and search people in your database. QuickContact allows you to stay connected on the go and dial any numbers without even touching the stylus! QuickContact is designed to enable one-hand control, using only the joystick or arrow buttons of your Pocket PC."

VITO QuickContact has just been updated to support Windows Mobile 5.0. On top of that, it has also been tweaked for faster performance. Details on the product can be found at the VITO Technology web site. Purchasing and/or downloading a free trial version can be done through Handango. It's priced at $15.95 USD. [Affiliate]

Hi guys,

I just tested this program yesterday on my K-Jam.
It is pretty big (1 Mb) so I installed it on storage card.
It takes some time to load my contacts but once it is loaded it is there ready for you  .
Searching contacts is very fast and easy. It takes some time to figure out which settings to use. There are different search methods possible. I like the one which represents the joystick. It is easy and fast .
I haven't tried to use it to put in a new contact yet so I can't tell anything about that.
Now the downsides :
Because I installed it on storage on my WM5 machine, it closes by itself when I turn off my K-Jam leaving the program open. I then have to reload the program which takes some time (18 secs! with 600+ contacts). This is not a problem of quickcontact but of WM5. Other programs have the same problem.
Conclusion?
If I had enough storage space on my K-Jam I would buy it. The loading has to done only one time after every soft reset so I can live with that!
Nice program!
Wouter
