Default MC70 Live on the Symbol Web Site

"Put the power of a cell phone, PDA, computer, scanner and imager in the hands of your mobile workers with the MC70. Designed to withstand all-day everyday use in nearly any environment, this rugged compact device delivers true anywhere anytime wireless WAN/LAN/PAN voice and data communications, including superior voice functionality, advanced data capture and the power to run nearly any application. The MC70 provides everything your mobile task workers need to achieve a new level of enterprise productivity whether they are out in the field reading meters, delivering packages or repairing appliances, on the retail floor taking inventory, or in a hospital checking test results and verifying medication orders."

Symbol's MC70, which was unveiled at CES last week, has just been launched and is now accessible from the Symbol web site. On there, you'll find product images, a list of specifications and applications, as well as details on purchasing the device. The high-end model is fitted with an Intel XScale 624MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS support, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Windows Mobile 5.0. It's a nice set of specs, but just like most enterprise handhelds, it'll cost an arm and a leg.

Power and ruggedness is the word that best describes it.
And hey !! This Symbol device looks a lot nice from their previous range too

Hmmmm, almost bears a resemblance to the current Axim line. ;-)

So, why has nobody else equipped their units with 802.11g thus far?
