Default More Reports of Cracked Screens

http://www.cliczune.com/2007/03/proofs_of_zune_.html

"There were reports a few weeks ago about Zune screens that were cracking for no reason. Some people thought that overheating problems coming from the battery could eventually cause the screen to crack. But new information is showing that the screens can implode without a major hit."

There has been more discussion over on Cliczune this week on the screen cracking issue that was brought up around the first of February.  There have been a number of reported incidences, though they still remain few and far between.  The cause of the issue also still remains a mystery.

Are the screens actually cracking ,or is the display cracking under the screen?
We have had a couple of monitors at work that have done that. No visable damage to the screen but the monitor is shot because the display looks like it was hit with a hammer.
Geez Something else to worry about.

I think you only have to worry about not dropping it.

From my understanding, it's not the external glass that is cracking, but rather something on the iside of the display. Supposedly, when the Zune is powered off, there are no visible signs of damange. The cracks only become visible when the unit is powered on.
