Best Foot-In-Mouth Quotes Of 2005
http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,69904-0.html?tw=rss.index
Wired has rounded up some of the best quotes of 2005 related to technology, including the ridiculous statement by a Sony BMG president when asked about the rootkit on their DRM technology. "Most people don't even know what a rootkit is, so why should they care about it?"
Heard any other good quotes in 2005?

There has to be something that came out of the RIAA lawsuits in the last year that is quote worthy.

Not a fan of the man, so here's a relevant one...
"We need to apply 21st-century information technology to the health care field. We need to have our medical records put on the I.T." George W. Bush, Collinsville, Ill., Jan. 5, 2005

One can only assume that George W. must have friends making money off "the I.T"

He didn't word it right, but I wouldn't mind seeing 21st-century I.T. applied to the health care field.

The Steve Balmer quote is a little dubious since it's only alleged he said it by another guy in a court case. It wasn't an actual "recorded for the record" quote. Granted, it sounds like something he'd say But it's a bit unfair to include it in the list as if it were an "on the record" fact.

Come on, it's not fair to say nasty things about the guy out here on the internets. Besides, you've probably now got your own NSA agent. :devilboy:

Big Feet Always In Big Mouth...
This was a legitimate 2005 foot-in-mouth example IMO, but may have pushed the envelope on Forum ' rules ' a tad far. So I terminated it. No offense intended except to the person who made the ' foot-in-mouth ' comments,

this is gettin a little political 8O ... i hope we don't get into an all out war, thats not what i come here for.
anyway, heres an ironic little quote i remember hearing
"Mr. Negroponte has called it a $100 laptop - I think a more realistic title should be 'the $100 gadget.'"
- Craig Barrett (Intel chairman)
That was Mr. Barrett heckling the plan to give underpriviledged children computers for educational uses ops: i bet he musta felt his mouth overflowing with lower extremity
