I'm Confused! Selecting a new Windows Mobile Device
"Ive been a fan of HTCs devices for a while now Ive used a couple of their previous generation of phones and theyve performed well and have been very hardy. Ive been watching the new generation to see what it offers and have been thinking of upgrading to a new Windows Mobile 5 device. So when I had the opportunity recently to have a trial run with four new devices now available in New Zealand and running Windows Mobile 5 I thought I might write a buyers guide of sorts highlighting the points that I found were key to making the decision for me."
Darryl Burling has written up a nice buyers guide to the newest devices out there, helping out new users and old alike but summarizing their most important attributes. Avoid confusion by reading the guide!

A good article, though you can tell he's a Pocket PC guy and not a Smartphone guy - he kind of glossed over the fact that the SP5 is a phone first and foremost. ;-)

I have similar dilemma that the guy in the article. I really want WM5 Phone Edition, but I can decide between 2 available devices.
Universal is too big and clumsy to be really usable as an everyday phone and the price does not help. But it's such a great gadget.
Wizzard on the other hand has the right form factor, but QVGA screen, lack of UMTS, miniSD and lame CPU are real downers.
I would love to have both, but since I'm not rich I'll have to decide for one or wait for something else.
