Default Is This Fujitsu-Siemens' Upcoming Pocket PC Phone Edition?

http://www.solopalmari.com/content/view/1016/32/

Another update to last week's Fujitsu-Siemens news - first we focus on the upcoming Pocket PC Phone Edition rumoured to be released sometime in the first half of 2006. Despite a week long of Chinese whispers, SoloPalmari says that this Phone Edition has a 2.8" LCD of QVGA resolution, not VGA. It also has an Intel XScale 624MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 256MB Flash ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS/UMTS support, integrated GPS (SiRFstar III), Bluetooth 1.2, 802.11g Wi-Fi, an SDIO/SD/MMC slot, USB-Host, a QWERTY thumb-board, and Windows Mobile 5.0. Has that image above been 'Photoshopped'? You decide.

Over to the Pocket LOOX N560, here is a picture of the device if you're interested. Earlier-said specifications seem set in stone - that is, an Intel XScale 624MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 256MB ROM, Bluetooth 1.2, 802.11g Wi-Fi, USB-Host, and an Intel 2700g GPU with VGA-out.

It seems like 2006 is Fujitsu-Siemens' year to shine. What might they release next?

That's....disappointing. Although, with that screen size, QVGA isn't too bad, and it'll be a pretty compact PDAphone. With that processor though, I'm wondering just how big the battery will be.

I doub't this is 2.8". The keys would be a way too small to be usable with this side. I think the picrure is legit, but not the specifications. I doubt it will have GPS. The spec is just TOO perfect. (I want to be proved wrong tough )

The quote under the image at SoloPalmari says, "elaborazione grafica". Now, that has a broad meaning once you translate it to English. It could be a mock-up, but then again, it could be legit - it all depends on how it's interpreted.

That's a great device! Now that I'm doing eMail much more while on public transit, I'm starting to feel that a thumb keyboard might be good. It would have to be a very good design though. If it's not very usable, then I would rather not have it at all. With the way the picture looks, I don't think I will go for it.

These specifications are so amazing. It would be tough to pass this device up.

The quote being "(elaborazione grafica, by ZioMeme)", I believe this is indeed a 'Photoshopped' image made by ZioMeme

Ziomeme seems to have stick a N5xx body to a Nokia E61 Keyboard.
At least I hope so, because if the final design was to be similar, the keyboard would be too small to be usable.

Specs wise, I don't see the point of putting a 624Mhz processor in a QVGA phone Edition -even with an integrated GPS-, even 6 months from now.
Battery life is generally the major concern for a Phone Edition, especially when the corporate market is in mind.

But a 624Mhz would be ok should the unit be VGA :?
I suppose we will have to wait more for reliable info, perhaps Cebit 2006 in Hannover (March)

I hope it's real. The specs look nice, I would like to have VGA, but on 2.8 screen I doubt it would make much difference.
I love the SD and USB host and GPS does not hurt either

Few questions though. What is actuall size and weight, when it's going to be released (June?), battery life due to fast CPU and of course the price?

I'm really not sure now, should I go for Wizzard that is available now for my main phone or should I limp along with my Himalaya for few more months :?:
