Updated: Pocket PC Thoughts Skin for Windows Media Player 10 Mobile
The official Pocket PC Thoughts skin for Windows Media Player 10 Mobile has been updated with full support for Windows Mobile 5.0. It features playback and volume controls, time and volume status displays, complete support for videos, album art, media tags, and now, ratings. When you synchronise your Pocket PC with the desktop version of Windows Media Player 10, your ratings will automatically be copied from your device to your computer. Continue on for screenshots.

The skin is compatible with all QVGA and VGA Pocket PCs running Windows Mobile 5.0 (including those equipped with square screens). If you're still running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, you will require a separate version of the skin. Further details can be found in the Downloads section of this site (access is open to registered members only; if you're not a member, you can register now for free by clicking here).
Over the next couple of months, we'll be updating the Today themes to support Windows Mobile 5.0 and adding extra content in the Downloads section.

What am I missing?
I've got an x51v... I downloaded wmp102mobile-ppctskin-vga.zip, unzipped it, and copied the "Pocket PC Thoughts Skin" folder to my device such that the skin and graphics files are located in this folder "\Program Files\Windows Media Player\Pocket PC Thoughts Skin". I start wmp10, go to menu->options, skins tab. It says "Searching for skins", but only returns the Default(Portrait) skin. The "Previous" and "Next" buttons are greyed out.
What the heck? :?:

Can you please load WMP10 Mobile, exit out of the library interface, then select Menu > About. What is its version number and build number?
If anyone else is using a Windows Mobile 5.0 device (particularly an X51v) and is having problems with the skin, please report back here. The more reports I get, the easier it is for me to isolate the problem (if it exists) and fix it. Cheers!

Be happy to supply any troubleshooting data that I can. I even tried renaming Default(Portrait).skn to a temp name, putting all your files directly into the \Program Files\Windows Media Player\ directory and naming your portait skin to Default(Portrait).skn, but wmp10 freaked out and didn't think I had any skins installed when I tried that.
Anyway, the version is 10.1 build 14366.
If it helps, the default file, Default(Portrait).skn contains the following text:

Bingo. I just realised that I configured the skin files to v10.2.0. Bear with me while I make the fix; I'll let you know once I've updated it. Thanks for the reports.

Okay, I'm having one of those days where nothing works out the way I want it to until after about fifty tries.
So, I've just checked everything, made the relevant changes, and provided a unified release which should support both WMP10.1 and WMP10.2 Mobile. Please give it a go.
