Default GV Mobile PocketBrush Released

http://www.gvmobile.com/pocketbrush/

"Realizing complex, graphic oriented applications for the Pocket PC platform requires user interface customization to allow fast access to the most common functions despite the limited screen real estate. The PocketBrush User Interface consists of a menubar, a custom toolbar and an optional colorbar. The menu bar consists of the File, Edit, View and Filter and View menus and two buttons. To make it just one click away, we have placed the Undo function directly in the menubar. The second button is the "modifier button". Desktop applications use the Shift and Ctrl key to change function behavior, but most Pocket PCs don't come with a keyboard and even if a Pocket PC has a keyboard, the Shift and Ctrl keys work different on each device. The "modifier button" is a three-state-button (off - plus - minus) which can be used together with the selection tools and the rectangle and ellipse tools. It forces rectangles and ellipses to quadrants and circles and allows you to add or remove areas from the current selection."

PocketBrush 1.0 is a feature-packed image-editing application that includes everything from paintbrush tools to image filters and image transformation effects. This rival application to Conduits Pocket Artist supports devices running Windows Mobile 2003 to Windows Mobile 5.0, as well as VGA and landscape display modes. Just $19.95 at Handango; a free trial version is also available. [Affiliate]

Yeah, finally something reasonably priced. Going to give it a whirl. I absolutely love Pocket Artist but will never pay 50.00 for any pocket pc software. As a owner of several Conduits products, I feel they price there product way out of line. I wrote to them specifically that it is just a matter of time before someone comes along to challenge them. I will gladly pay 19.95. If this new software can support TGA eventually that will be the deciding factor in my mind.
