Introducing the Bluetooth NES Controller... uhhh... Handset
"What we have here is your typical NES controller converted into a Bluetooth handset suitable for use with mobile phones and VOIP software on Bluetooth-enabled PCs... The controller itself is an actual NES controller. The plus-pad has been hollowed out and houses a speaker to listen to conversations. A discreet little hole next to the 'A' button allows sound to travel to the internal microphone."
Now, this is funny! This is has got to be the ultimate W?BIC! device! It's an NES controller that has been refashioned into a Bluetooth-enabled handset. So instead of holding your mobile phone to your ear, you get to hold an NES controller to your ear!! Come to think of it. This isn't W?BIC! It's more like W?IHNI! (Why? I have no idea!)

Who ever thought PPL would mod BT headsets to create handsets! Very creative I think. I bet there could be a market for these devices, esp. if PPL keep coming up with novel designs.

Are you sure? I imagine you'd get quite a lot of looks while walking down the street.
Then again, it's probably no different to the countless folk that think you're talking to yourself all because they can't see that tiny headset lodged in your ear.

My wife's sister is heavily in to anime, and lately has been wearing some kind of strange cow hat. I find it a little spooky when she leaves it on the couch, but anyway, she commented the other day that people kept asking her what it is. She didn't know why everybody had to ask. I told her that you don't wear a hat like that if you don't want attention.
I think it's the same with this NES handset. You don't walk down the street with one of these if you don't want people to look.
I can't imagine why I'd need one, but I will admit it's creative.

I couldn't agree more, and I still have a seperate cell phone and Pocket PC. I wouldn't want to go to all the trouble to get a device that is both only to put yet another device into my pocket.

Anyone seen one of those new Game Boy micros? 2" x 4" x 0.7". The perfect size for modding into a handset.
