This is pretty sweet. There are other GPS-tracking applications out on the market, but this comes with an extra twist. For all you GPS-junkies out there, you can track your adventures using GPS2GoogleEarth and then export the data into a KML file which you can then view in 3D using the increasingly popular Google Earth. The cost is $19 USD and a 7-day trial is available.

Google Earth is a nice tool and I�ve been using it for a while. With Cingular introducing UMTS/HSDPA soon and T-Mobile rolling out EDGE it�s now more feasible and practical to have a mobile version of Google Earth. That is one application I�d really like to have on a Pocket PC along with Mapopolis or iGuidance. In fact, navigation software that utilizes Google Earth maps but still has the full functionality of a navigation application would be neat.

what would be great is if this actually had real data collection capability.
but then again, google earth is a shadow of being real GIS.
