Default Spb Software House Introduces Spb UniThemes

http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/unithemes/?en

"Spb Software House, a leading Pocket PC software developer, introduces a new concept: Spb UniThemes. Every UniTheme is a complete set of skins for all skinnable standard as well as Spb's own Pocket PC applications, all designed in one style. Pocket PC users can now have a consistent look and feel across all of their most used applications - from Windows Media Player to Spb Time and Spb Finance. Each UniTheme includes skins for all of the standard skinnable Pocket PC applications (the Today screen, Windows Media Player, Dialer, and Calculator) as well as skins for all of Spb's skinnable applications (Spb Pocket Plus, Spb Time, Spb Weather, Spb GPRS Monitor, Spb Finance, and Spb Full Screen Keyboard)."

Spb Software House has just released the first batch of its "UniThemes" (skin packs) with more to come in the near future. Each UniTheme gives your Pocket PC a new look - from the Today screen, Calculator, Phone Dialler and Windows Media Player Mobile, right down to any Spb application that can be skinned. Each UniTheme supports QVGA and VGA and is a free download.

What nice people

I've bought a few of their apps and love every one of them and this just makes everything look that much better.

Thanks!

If I recall correctly, they are compatible.

They do, but it is up to the creator of the skin to add support in.

If you're feeling adventurous, open up the skin folder and you'll see a series of graphic files and a SKN file. Open up the SKN file with a text editor, and if you see a header called [ AlbumArt ], then the skin supports the display of Album Art. If it's missing, then it won't display it.

Now in this case, I can't recall if Spb's UniThemes support Album Art. If it doesn't display, then it's probably safe to assume that it doesn't support it.

They forgot to add, ..."as long as SPB programs are your most used applications."

All in all it's a nice thing for a company to do. I wonder if there will be any conflicts with other programs that skin, like WisBarAdv2. Guess I'll find out shortly!

Has anyone tried to skin the wm2003se phone dialer? or the all white calculator with the flat buttons?
I would still skin my dialer even if it went back to default in landscape.

WM2003SE dialer can be skinned by skins from WM2003 dialer. It just will not work with landscape/square. At least it works on my Qtek 2020i.

But we are going to support all versions of WM dialer including WM5 in all unithemes soon.
