Resco Pocket Radio 1.30 Released

Resco Pocket Radio has just been updated to v1.30 and includes a host of new features and tweaks designed to enhance the user experience. What's new? A brand new skin, better GPRS connection handling, variable buffer length support, two additional connection speeds to improve performance, an optimised volume control, two additional interface controls, and Resco Update technology. And just to add my two cents, this version feels a lot faster than previous versions, so it's worth the update if you already own the product. If you're new to Pocket Radio, you can download a free trial version of v1.30 from Handango. If it's what you've been looking for, then the full version can be purchased for $19.95. (Note: if you order from Resco from now until September 30, you can get it at 25% off - that brings it down to $14.96).
On a side note, Resco Explorer 2005 has just been updated to v5.22. Existing users can update their copy by downloading it from the Resco Explorer webpage. [Affiliate]

I've been playing with version 1.1 of this product and it's pretty nice. I've been listening to their default classical station alot in the evenings. It's kind of cool to be able to record that station for listening when I'm away from a wifi connection.

I've also been playing around with this for the last couple of weeks. I love the simple interface and once Windows Media streaming is added (it's something they're working on adding), I'll be able to get a few of my favorite commercial stations with ease. (Instead of dealing with playlists, etc.)

Love this program. Now if somebody in the uk did a decent price unlimited GPRS traif I'd be in 80's music heaven.
I'd love to see RM support added so I could listen to the BBC in my office as I can't get fm radio there.

Are you meaning .asf streams? If so that would be great as one of my favorites is in .asf format and I can't get it now.

The BBC has two WMA streams. I use WMP to listen via GPRS and have never experienced buffering.

Can you provide the BBC WMA stream URLs/data to make a playlist or add it to an existing one? I haven't been able to find one myself. I only have some US NPR stations that carry some BBC programming.
Thanks.

Thanks for the stream info.
I wasn't able to save it as a favorite, but I was able to cut and paste the URL into an existing playlist file for another radio stream (after opening it with notepad) and it works great. I've been saving individual streams as separate WMPlaylist file and play them with WMP10 or TCPMP, for now, until Resco Radio can play these files directly!

The program needs a feature to filter stations by bitrate. I got really excited using the program via WiFi, but on my GPRS, all of the stations that had 128kbps+ would buffer every few seconds, pretty much rendering them useless. If there was a way I can see stations only under 64kbps, I would buy this program today.
