Default K-Jam Info At Howard Forums

http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...ad.php?t=730871

If the iMate K-Jam has been on your wishlist, you'll probably want to check out this very LONG thread over at Howard Forums. One lucky forum member there has his hands on both a JasJar and a K-Jam and is eager to share his experiences. My "longed-for" HTC device is still the Universal, but these pictures make the smaller of the dynamic duo seem pretty tempting!

I'm actually more interested in the Wizard than the Universal. Despite the Universal's impressive list of features, the Wizard represents something truly pocket-sized, and the O2 Xda Atom even more so. The HTC roadmap suggests more 3G solutions are on their way, so it'll be interesting to see what sort of devices surface over the next year or so.

Edit: Minor details fixed.

I believe I am officially in love with the Wizard. I am currently on T-Mobile and have an unlimited data plan.... so this device with EDGE will be perfect for me. I am hoping T-Mobile will have it soon or I will have to spring for an unlocked import.

Too bad Canadians will likely get neither the Atom nor the Wizard on their networks anytime soon. Thank God for eBay and importers!

for those interested in the pictures, and not the procrastinating, go to page 10. They start there, and get better

Damn, its too hard to make a choice. The Atom looks awesome and powerful, the VGA and kb of the Universal are heavenly (but downed by the size and price), and the Wizard has a nice size, WM5 and kb (although maybe a bit thick, and possibly slow, more research needed).

I could always stick with the mini, but that wouldn't be me then

oh no, jonno B, this is MY love !

i've been waiting for a long time to go back to the ppc-pe camp, and this will probably be the device that will bring me back!

the atom has nicer colors, though.
black ... elegant!

i wonder what my provider will be offering ... they're affiliated with o2 and orange, and i believe those carriers usually have different devices than t-mobile.
so if the t-mo offering is silver, the others will maybe have the atom *hope*

hey ... my carrier's called "one", affiliated with "orange" and "o2".

Turns out the guy only had a loan preproduction model. Annoyed a couple f people over there on HF, cause he said he would post a review, but won't because he doesn't have the device anymore.

The Wizard seems to be enormously popular at the moment. It is a great combination of form and function. There has been a bit of worry from some over the OMAP 195mhz processor. Being a multi core processor has quelled most of those worries, and early reports from a few folks at HoFo say that it runs fine.

Here is another link where the individual discusses the performance of the Wizard: http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...ge=5&pp=15

It now looks like its original release date on the first week of Oct. is holding, so we should be seeing lots of them soon.
