Dopod 900 Arrives Next Week!
"Dopod will be introducing its Dopod 900 3G PDA phone to the Taiwan market on September 20, with a projected price tag of NT$34,900 (US$1,063), according to company sources. The Dopod 900, which is similar to the Vodafone VPA IV or Orange SPV 3G, is a 3G-enabled, Pocket PC device based on the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. In addition to 3G cell phone capabilities, the device will also feature PDA and MP3 player functions as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera. The Dopod supports GSM/GPRS and WCDMA and sports an internal WiFi port."
We've reported before that the Dopod 900 (a.k.a. HTC Universal) would be released sometime this month, and according to sources, September 20 is the official date. You already know the specs, so I won't go into it again.

I hate to ask guys but arnt any of you getting bored at all of the HTC Universal releases??

Perhaps. But news is news. A lot of the reason why these HTC Universal announcements have come in one big hit is because vendors were locked into a certain timeframe thanks to HTC. If I recall correctly, HTC shipped out the base units to the OEMs all at the same time, so you can only expect them all to release it around the same time too.
Don't worry. I'm sure we'll have a shiny new device to report on in the near future.

Very much agreed. The news does tend to be 'clumpy', but that's the way it is. We can only report on what's sent to us and NDAs also tend to expire at the same time. So, it's like busses. You wait ages for one and then three turn up together. Such is life.
