wmIRC 2.0 Released
"wmIRC is one of the first IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client for Windows Mobile that works on both Smartphone and Pocket PC devices. With clear and straightforward user interface wmIRC is much faster and easier to use than it's competitors. wmIRC contains only the required and minimum set of functionality, so that even novice IRC users can work with it without any problems. wmIRC is optimized for mobile IRC users who use IRC messaging a lot. It has much nice features, that can make IRC chatting with your Microsoft Windows Mobile gadget a bliss!"
If you still use IRC, then wmIRC 2.0 is worth a look. It features a new chat window rendering engine, fast copy/paste support, improved font support, logging, Windows Mobile 5.0 support, and much more. A trial version can be downloaded from the wmIRC website, and I imagine over the next few hours, Handango will host the updated v2.0 release for purchase. [Affiliate]

"If you still use IRC"
Gee Darius, you make it sound like IRC's heyday is passed, that most of it's channels aren't filled with interesting conversation but with immature nonsense, and that respectable people have no time for chat rooms. Come to think of it, you might be right... Of course, www.bash.org is always good for a few laughs, especially the Top 100.

Guess I'm sticking with PocketIRC, I need my file transfer function.

Heh. While I won't deny that it's still used, it seems more people are now using it as a medium for file sharing rather than chat. Where there is chat though, bash.org is always a great place to visit. 8)

That's right - when I started to IRC, back in 1993 (mostly on #finland and #europe (IRCNet), later on #java (IRCNet and EFNet)), IRC was far more lively. Now? It's dead. As is #pocketpc (on EFNet).
