PhatSpell 1.4 Released
"PhatSpell is a multilingual spell checker for Microsoft Windows powered Pocket PCs. It allows users to check spelling in practically any standard Pocket PC application that permits text editing, such as Pocket Word, Inbox, Notes, etc. PhatSpell includes 13 dictionaries for 10 languages: Danish, Dutch, English (US, UK and Medical), French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese (BR and EU), Spanish, and Swedish. Depending on the language, size of a main dictionary varies from 135KB to 570KB. During installation, a user can choose which dictionaries to install."

PhatSpell 1.4 has just been released, offering full support for Windows Mobile 5.0, as well as an improved user interface and a new spell checking engine. A trial version is available from Handango. Normally, the full version would be retailing for $29.95, but for a limited time, you can purchase PhatSpell with a $20 discount - effectively bringing it down to a low $9.95. To take advantage of this limited offer, click here.

iirc, I got version 1.3 free with Calligrapher. If they continue that path, I'd rather wait until Calligrapher 8 is out.

ctmagnus, you can upgrade to 1.4 for free.
"PhatSpell 1.4 is a FREE upgrade for all registered users of PhatSpell 1.x"
from http://www.phatware.com/support/upgr...html#phatspell
And to anyone who follows Darius's link: it will still show the price as $29.95, but down below it says Discount Coupons -$20, then shows the correct price (I didn't notice at first, and almost posted asking about this).

TextMaker and PlanMaker already ship with spell-check dictionaries for 17 languages, a thesaurus for 10 languages, hyphenation for 29 languages and a five-language translation dictionary ... so I don't think you would even need PhatSpell for our applications.
