Default Sketch It Released

http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/...0&productType=2

"Sketch IT is a notes organizer for the "Today"-screen of your Microsoft Windows CE device. Taking notes has to be as accessible as possible but taking electrical notes is very slow as it's not just taking a pen and a paper, you have to go through a number of menus and dialogs before you can start taking notes. This has finally changed with Sketch IT, now you can just take your pen and your PDA out of your pocket and start writing! Whether it's writing down numbers, drawing pictures, playing games- everything is possible, on your "Today"-screen."

Sketch It allows you to... um, sketch things on your Today screen. A pretty neat scribble pad at $12.00 from Handango! A trial version is also available. [Affiliate]

 I've tried installing this twice, both to main memory and SD card. Each time I end up with a SKETCH It folder in my directory but there is nothing in it! I have a 2002 operating system. Anybody else run into this?

I installed it on my hx4700 and was able to try it instantly. Sketch It occupied a part of the Today screen real estate and reduced the space available to PocketBreeze.
I have a lot of duties and need every pixel for Pocket Breeze.

A better solution would add one button at the task bar and dim the Today screen when the user clicks on this button. Then I could write to a semi transparent screen to make a note.

I tried a similar program on my iPaq 5550 called NotesToday and while it was stable, I don't know if it supports VGA or landscape. I eventually uninstalled it because as a previous poster mentioned, I have better uses for my Today screen real estate.

I would have liked a program that didn't take any Today-Screen "real estate" at all; you just draw, tap a button, and it saves to a folder of your choice.

Yeah, my pocket pc came with an app like that. I believe it is called notes or something. It lets you handwrite, draw, or type notes and save them ot any folder you like. It was already mapped to a hardware button and could also be accesed in 2 taps from the today page, new, note. Or even less if i had it as a shortcut in pocket plus. And it doesn't take up any of your today screen! Oh, AND it will sync with outlook!! You guys should try it, it's great!

I tried this the instant it was mentioned on this website and found it created ugly scroll bars on my Today page. If the sketch pad could be hidden until desired...yet that's what I use "The Pad" (a different app) for and it suits me fine.

The trouble with this sort of thing is that the developer doesn't have users' needs in mind, only his/her own pet project.

I couldn't get the trial to work very well, either, unfortunately.
