HKTraffic 2.0 Released
"HKTraffic is a simplified web browser designed exclusively to view real-time traffic condition from the web site of the Transport Department of Hong Kong SAR Government. Now you can access the TD web site in a friendly way and plan your route earlier!"

Kasuei has just released HKTraffic 2.0 - a great application for those of you living in Hong Kong. The new version now features updated HKSAR TD data, an enhanced user interface, and a new zoom control. And best of all, HKTraffic 2.0 is free!

Meanwhile, here in Vancouver's Cedar Cottage neighborhood (part of Mount Pleasant - the irony will soon become apparent), I was in my little shop talking with a client at around 2. We heard *bang - bang - bang - - - bang*. I said "small weapon, maybe a 45." The bassist agreed, and we carried on talking about some needed repairs.
Within 5 minutes my little side street of 17th Avenue, a block from the main drag Kingsway, had become a car-infested zoo in both directions. Apparently redirected.traffic while police investigated. That carried on for over an hour. I hate cars.
Apparently so did the shooter. Two men were arrested. One, it seems, had shot a parked car 4 times. I would have picked a moving one. More challenging, and the parked ones don't bother me nearly so much.
So yeah, Golden. Nice. As in 'silence is... '

It would be nice if they had this for the Los Angeles metropolitan area!

It's Compulim from Kasuei, the maker of HKTraffic.
Transport Department in Hong Kong placed cameras all over the city and HKTraffic acts as a browser to interface with their web page. You can check it out at http://traffic.td.gov.hk.
Are there any similar official/unofficial system in Los Angeles? If yes, we can easily implement one for L.A. residents.
