Default highpad | Media Control for your Windows Media Center Edition 2005 PC

http://www.highpad.com/

"Enjoy your personal audio, visual and digital media anywhere, any place. highpad | Media Control is your wireless communicator between your Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 or Windows Media Player. Connect, control and interact at home or while youre on the go with all your personal entertainment. Now, you decide where and when to listen and watch your favourite digital media. highpad | Media Control is designed to work with any Digital Mobile Device (DMD) running Windows Mobile for Pocket PC (Pocket PC, PDA, MDA, XDA, VPA et.). Wirelessly connect via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS or UMTS to control your networked Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 or Windows Media Player."

Slick! I have a MCE 2005 machine, and being able to control it with my Pocket PC would be cool. I initially thought that's all this app did, but after a bit more reading I discovered it also streams content, making it a sort of "universal window" onto your Media Center Edition PC. It also does synchronization, so if I'm understanding this correctly it will allow you to wireless sync your digital media from the MCE to your Pocket PC. Impressive! I'll have to look at this a bit closer...

Downloading this right now to try it but I am a bit confused on one part... they have only one executable rather than one for the handheld and one for the MCE... my PPC is synched and connected to a different computer than my MCE... hopefully this won't be a problem. I'll post my results

I would love to say how great and successful this is except after trying to install the server software on my Windows Media Center Edition 2005 I was informed that it only works on Windows Media Center Edition 2005... wow I guess I'm an idiot for trying to install the software on a PC that has the software it requires. This thing looks awesome and I'd love to use it but it needs to be installable.

This looked promissing, but there are too many bugs and I have yet for it to work for me.

Even had a critical error. :|

HMC.exe
IndexOutOfRangeException

Application::Run+0xf

And the first time I opened the app, it said I had 10 days left on the trial. Closed it and reopened it 5 minutes later, 9 days. Not what I like to see.
