Judged by a panel of industry experts and media, the Handango Champion Awards were presented for BlackBerry, Palm OS, UIQ, Series 60 and Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC and Smartphone applications in the following categories: Best Application for Work, Best Application for Play, Best Application for Life, Best New Application and Best Industry Application. Handango has just announced the top mobile software from the recent Handango Partner Summit. Apart from that, Developer One, Inc. was announced as the top Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC developer, with Ilium Software being announced as the top Windows Mobile-based Smartphone developer. Best Application for Work: Pocket Informant 2005 (by WebIS, Inc.)
Best Application for Play: Fish Tycoon (by LDW Software, LLC)
Best Application for Life: Spb Pocket Plus (by Spb Software House)
Best New Application: CodeWallet Pro 2005 (by Developer One, Inc.)
Best Industry Application: MobiLearn Talking Phrasebook (by MobiLearn, Inc.)

I always wonder about these Handango awards. I rely on Handango more than anyone else for Pocket PC software but some of their awards always seem to come out of left-field (though selection of PI is always a no-brainer).

IF YOU WANT SOME GOOD APPZ YOU CAN TRY SOMEWHEREELSE.THERE ARE MANY GOOD APPZ WHO HAS NEVER WINS AN AWARDS.

Handango Awards. Ah, get stuffed. They just tell us what they make most money with... the bible claims you should give a 10th to god... and I don't see why Handango would be value 4 times god

Great point on CodeWallet. I also wonder what makes MobiLearn Talking Phrasebook an "industry" application. I admit. I do have it myself (for German) and it's a wonderful tool as a foreign language assistant, but to go to industry and say this is the best application for the enterprise is just ridiculous!
