Virtual Pool for the Axim X50v
"Unfortunately, there are still very few games on the market that take advantage of the X50vs graphical accelerator. Luckily, a new game will be released soon, which will be able to make full use of the X50vs potential: Virtual Pool 3 for Dell x50v. Many thanks to Celeris for the material they have provided."
Most of you should be familiar with the impressive graphical capabilities of the X50v. All it needs are games. Virtual Pool Mobile, which was a winner in Microsoft's Mobile2Market 2004 Contest, has entered a new beta phase for X50v compatibility. The game's performance on the X50v is stellar; x50v.it has further details on this.

I wonder how fast the rendering would be like while playing? The picture is impressive but would be horrible if you have to wait for a while for the images to render.

I haven't seen the game, but there shouldn't be any wait. The X50v has a full-scale 3D accelerator, with 16 MB video RAM, OpenGL ES support, the works. It should be smooth as silk.

I have this game on my SmartPhone)Imate SP3i. Looks great and plays great on that phone. Not sure whether it has any video acceleration or not...

I haven't seen in any other articles whether Celeris is going to have a price break for those of us who bought Virtual Pool Mobile.
Anyone hear/read anything on this?
I guess when it's released we'll know for sure.

I just put the demo on my x50v and it renders and moves around very smooth and fast. This game is sweet! I may have to purchase it, now to find some funds.

This is great news! I'm a big fan of the game, but haven't played it much since getting my X50v, since it wasn't VGA. It is a fantastic game that should be truly amazing in VGA. I can't wait!!!
