visNotes 2.0 Released
We've posted on visNotes before, but this new update has a wad of new features that make it worth posting on again. visNotes 2.0 includes VGA compatibility, improved Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition support, a new user interface, text search functionality, a password generator, font options, new sounds and pictures, customisable shutdown behaviours, and much more. It uses strong 128-bit Twofish encryption, and best of all, it's free. :way to go:

In the free basic version visNotes contains one memo sheet. If you want to expand the program and use it as a note book, you may buy a registration code which you may use to activate additional sheets.
Five additional memo sheets for visNotes PPC: 6.91
25 additional memo sheets for visNotes PPC: 11.26

That's weird pricing. You are licensing pages?

I had the same question. This means you only can write one note? The Notes that comes on the PPC lets you write forever. Of course, it's not encrypted, but the PPC can be password protected, so I guess I just don't get it. :?:

It's either a diabolical plot, or they haven't thought it through very well.

Hmm. I'd read that as different backgrounds, not as more pages of the same thing. I was thinking it was like some of the backgrounds from eReader-yellow lined memos, parchment paper, white schoolbook paper, etc. just something to jazz up your memos...
Now that I've reread the notice, I think I was reading into it what I wanted and that your take on it is correct... and it doesn't make sense to only have a certain number of notes available, and having to pay for more, especially if it's still limited even after paying.

This is easy:
You can buy another 25 notes and add them, soyou have 51 ;-)
But sfr will change the licensing model, soon.
Then you can add as many notes as you like, when
having purchased any license before.

I, too, agree that the licensing model is a little confusing.
But after visiting the visnotes web site, I came away with the impression that the sheet licensing refers to the max length of a given memo, and not the number of memoes you can create with the program.
The freeware version allows for only one page (which translates into 2000 characters according to the web site). You can create as many memoes as you want but the length of each memo will be 2000 characters.
If you want to write a single memo of greater length, then you need to buy the license to increase the max number of sheets/pages/characters of the memo.
I haven't tried the actual program yet, but this is my understanding of the license.

The freeware version contains 1 memo, which is stated on this page ( http://www.visnotes.com/buy.html)
But after having purchased extra memo sheets you have 6 (or 26 memo sheets with 10 times more size in the memo text.
