Javo Edge Releases Clear Cases For Axim x50
"This stylish yet functional case allows you to view and navigate your PDA screen without removing it from its case. Javo ClearCase locks your Dell Axim X50 / X50v securely in place. Cutouts for easy access to stylus, headphone jack, IR port, microphone, reset button, speaker, memory slots, and charging/synchronization port."
If you've been looking for a clear case to protect your x50 or x50v, Javo Edge may have what you're looking for. Looking pretty sturdy, clear cases in general can be very nice when you just want to take a quick 'peek' at the Today screen, or scroll through an MS Reader document without stylus intervention - just to name a few uses.

I just purchased an identical case from Proporta.com. It's a nice case; good fit, and somewhat unique looking.
The main reason that I got it though, is because I've been listening to a lot of Audible.com book recordings, and I wanted something that I could use without having to open up the case. It's nice to be able to just start and stop the recording, or adjust the volume with the cover down. It makes it much easier to use.

I suspect that cases like this will do well with WM5. With the one-handed operation not requiring the screen, a case like this would make it easier to do more than just taking a quick peek at the today screen, you would be able to navigate through your entire PPC. However, PDAs getting the upgrade to WM5 like the X50 would not be as usable, because they don't have dedicated buttons for one handed operation. I may consider small things like this when I buy my next PDA. Just my two cents...

I totally agree! After spending some time with a Nokia 6620, and then a Treo 650, I have really gotten to appreciate the convenience of being able to open programs and navigate menus with one hand. It's not that I would want to give up my touch screen, but it's nice to have the option of not pulling out the stylus.
