Default P505 Pics

http://www.bargainpda.com/default.asp?newsID=2540

"Asus also had their new Pocket PC Phone, the Asus P505, on display at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan. This device should be available in Europe soon. Asus does not know when, if ever, the device will be available in North America. Thanks once again to U.S. wireless carriers."

The Asus P505 is making some news this week, with a nice collection of pictures on the site above. Another sighting on the web indicates that the P505 may contain Skype in the ROM, however for all we know, the model sighted here may have just had it installed to its RAM. An interesting looking device, and a shame if we never get to officially play with it over in North America. Well, there's always eBay if it turns out to be your perfect Pocket PC.

not exactly clear from the photos; when the numpad is opened, does it wrap around to the back, or does it hang out in empty air, making a nuisance of itself?

Loose that flip!!! It looks like it has been stuck on as a last minute deluded 'good idea' by someone who had severely aesthetically challenged design capabilities!

I believe it hangs out in empty air! About as useful as t*ts on a frog!

Not even WM2003PE Second Editione then - for a NEW machine??
1050mAh battery - for a Phone edition? My MDA has 1200mAh battery and I thought that was the smallest that it should reasonably be. :?

Excuse me, but I don't think it is right to comment so sharply when you've never seen the device yourself. :? Also, many things you said is not true . For example, the device does have WM2003 SE, and the flip is neither useless nor ugly. From what i've seen so far, it erects the device while putting it on a table. See the pictures in http://www.mobuy.com.tw/shop/product.asp?pid=10001513. As for the battery, I believe that many other manufacturers use the same kind. [/url][/i]

Edit: the device is ONLY around $500.(a lot cheaper than MDA)

I like the idea of a flip.. missing it on my Imate JAM - I used to have a P900 for 18months and loved it.

Loose the external antenna for sure though
