Default E-TEN M600 Announced at Computex

http://www.etencorp.com/PressCenter...hp?pid=17&tid=0

"At this year's Computex Trade Show look for E-TEN to show off the latest of Pocket PC Phone Edition products-the E-TEN M600. This new product features a built-in WLAN capability, offering wireless connectivity that gives users the freedom they need in their mobile lifestyles."

The E-TEN M600 (the successor to the M500) is on show at Computex over the next few days. Not a lot of details have been revealed, but what is known is that the M600 will feature integrated Wi-Fi and will be released in September. We'll keep you posted on more specifications as they roll in. For the full press release, visit the E-TEN press centre.

Update: Okay, official specifications and pictures have just arrived. The M600 has Windows Mobile 5.0, a Samsung 2440A 400MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, GSM/GPRS - Quad-Band, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an SDIO slot, a 1.3MP camera (with a flash), voice command functionality, and a 1440mAh Li-Ion battery. Read on for a glimpse of the device!

Thanks to Mobile01 and ePrice for the additional details.

It looks just like M500, except in black. I think black is a nice color.
According to picture spotted, it seems to be running Windows Mobile 5.0.

For those interested, I have updated the post with a list of specifications and a couple of pictures.

If you ask me, black is back!

Has it ever been away?

I'm looking forward to more devices in black. Silver is OK, but black has more style! Plus it goes with just about everything.

With the introduction of persistent storage, it would be better for a Windows Mobile 5.0 to have more ROM rather than the other way round.

And there's a feisty debate about RAM vs. ROM sizes here. (For the record, I'm with Dave on this one  ).

If anyone's interested, the M500 and M600 are the same in size. That is, 111.7mm x 60.7mm x 22.0mm.
