A Way With Words: Better English Through Interactive Visual Mapping
This is very off topic, but is a very cool and thought provoking little tool, so I thought I would share it with you guys. The Thinkmap Visual Thesaurus free demo lets you enter a word into the online form and then builds a map of connected terms. The words pop up, bounce and jiggle into position and you can then pull them around and meander up and down meanings and navigate through the rich lexicon of language. Or you can just randomly pull the words around and watch them rearrange themselves in a satisfyingly energetic and effervescent manner. Your call. There's 145,000 words with 115,000 meanings, audio pronunciations, spell checking and much more. It's well worth a visit.

Thanks, Fabien, for the link to "The Brain". I downloaded it and want to give it a try.
It's a very attractive concept.
